Hosting a party take a lot of work. Most of us during the summer months want to relax and enjoy the refreshing sunlight. We want to be energized making fond memories, not running around in a nightmare of party plans. The best way to stay cool and collected is to start planning now! Let some professionals handle the food at the party so you can relax and enjoy yourself. Here are a few ideas so you can keep your cool from a professional caterer!

Pick a Theme

Keep it simple! If you plan on making your party visually spectacular, you’re going to need a theme. Themes can be anything from a color scheme to a specific character, but keep a less is more attitude! Caterers can easily help set a mood with decorations, pops of specific colors, and menu selections when themes are location based! Think kabobs at a Hawaiian luau, or Coney Dogs at a Detroit party, fish & chips at an English party!

Consider a Barbecue

A barbecued meal doesn’t have to be greasy or covered in breading. Soprano’s Catering offers a variety of BBQ options as a part of our Custom BBQ package. If you’re looking forward to enjoying a well-cooked entrée at your event, but don’t want everyone to feel like they ate a whole cow, look for dishes that have grilled meats, salads, veggies and fruit trays. This way your guests can easily balance their meals and have enough energy to enjoy the rest of the party!

Keep Brunch Parties Lite

Some guests may be itching for breakfast foods, but would rather not feel like they ate a big breakfast. When you want a brunch that hits the spot, and doesn’t leave you in a food-coma, ask your caterer about “lite” brunch options. Specialty salads with grilled chicken and fruit on the side makes for a great light, mid-morning meal!

Have Picky Eaters? Bring a Deli to the Party

Sometimes a good selection of cold cuts and veggies can satisfy what many tummies are craving. Going for a deli-like lunch is great middle ground if you want something that isn’t as heavy as a barbecue, but not as light as a brunch. Look forward to hams, salamis, roast beef, and turkey accompanied by a variety of cheeses, salads, fruits, and your favorite condiments on the side. Your guests will appreciate the opportunity to make their own sandwich or salad.

Keep Hydrated!

On a hot summer day, make sure that you stay hydrated at your party! If you need a caffeine pick-me-up, a cool soda, or an iced cocktail to get through the day, Soprano’s Catering can take care of you! We treat everyone like family, and that means making sure everyone is well hydrated! Ask for an accommodating bartender and wait staff to spoil your guests!

We Feed You Like Family!

  1. I want to get some really nice BBQ for my family fall birthday party. It does seem like a good idea to get some good sides that go with the meat. That does seem smart because we normally always forget either the veggies or fruit.

  2. We are going to be doing some catering here soon because of a party. Anyways, it would be good to pick a theme for the party as that would go along with the type of food we should get. I’m not sure exactly what but it might be a mix of lunch and breakfast foods.
